Bellevue, Washington - Aside from the 16 DotA teams participating in The International Dota 2 Championships in Germany, Valve has been giving away Dota 2 beta key access to game developers who support Steam. Employees at Arrowhead Game Studios, developers of Magicka, have confirmed to have recieved early game access to Valve's stand-alone remake of Defense of the Ancients.

Valve is planning to start a large scale Dota 2 beta testing phase this fall.
