In addition to enhanced visual elements, a 3V3 map (Grimm's Crossing), map editor, and an in-game cosmetic items shop, HoN 2.0 introduces a much improved Match Making System that promises to easily match teammates via Solo Matchmaking or Team Matchmaking. Heroes of Neweth 2.0 also introduces an entirely new game play mode called Casual Mode that lowers the learning curve to the Dota genre for new gamers. Casual mode is also primarily aimed at the influx of League of Legends, Demigod and DotA players that Heroes of Newerth has been getting for the past few months since release.
With all these changes, HoN 2.0 streamlines the gameplay experience, enabling faster and shorter games - and taking the HoN platform one step further than DotA. Heroes of Newerth, since its launch (May 2010) has garnered a dedicated following, with more than 12.3 million downloads, and an average of more than 230,000 HoN players per day.
The team-oriented design of Heroes of Newerth combined with the HoN 2.0 upgrades, allow for an incredibly deep tactical team-based experience unlike any other.
