Bangkok, Thailand - The E-Sports Thailand Championship 2009 will have 32 local teams and 32 international teams battle against each other from October 15-18. A total of THB 200,000 (USD 5, 860) will be given to the top two teams. Co-organizers Future Gamer Co. Ltd. and Gsquare Channel of True Vision Co. Ltd. aim to provide Thai gamers with the opportunity to display their skills at an international event, motivate Thai gamers to improve gaming in their respective regions and help the public understand gaming as a serious sport.
