Already an established local DotA team, Mineski expanded its portfolio by adding the defending CS local champ Team HoA as their CS division under the new name Mski.CS. With two of the best teams in their respective game categories carrying the Mineski flag, the hype and expectation for the team to win the WGT 08 was high. Mineski wasted no chance of disappointing their supporters and made sure they send a clear message to everyone else, and that is ... they want to represent Philippines in the international eSports scene.

Mineski DotA Team outlasted 7 other top local teams from across the islands including EXS and schooled from Cebu, Davao's FK and NoMets, and theos, EZ, Homeboys rounding up for the home town teams which fell prey to the uncanny Mineski. However, the route to the championship was not easy for Mineski this time as every opponent proved their worth being in the final 8.

On the other hand, Mineski CS Division on the other hand outgunned other rookie teams, the representative of the country for 3 years and counting had no trouble retaining their title.
